We offer guided fishing trips on all of the valley's major rivers, as well as many lakes, streams and creeks. We realize a reservation with us is a commitment to provide you with the best possible fly-fishing adventure. We also view this as a commitment made by you, the guest, to arrive on time with the same number of anglers for which you booked space. We limit the numbers of anglers that we accommodate to help ensure a great experience. As a result, we require a deposit or credit card number to hold your reservation. Walk-ins and short notice reservations are welcome if space is available. Advanced reservations are highly recommended.
All trips include rods, waders, and beverages. Full-day trips include lunches. 3/4 day trips include a light snack. Rod fees for private ranches, fishing licenses, flies and gratuities are not included.
Wade trips are conducted on all four major rivers, in many high mountain lakes and streams, and in valley spring creeks. You will be accompanied by one of our wade guides who will take you to various spots on the river as you stalk fish and hone your angling skills. Our wade guides are true instructors, capable of teaching the sport to all skill levels. Wade trips may be booked as a half, 3/4 or full day-trip and conducted year round. Generally, half-day trips will fish one river, while ¾ and full-day trips may fish two or more rivers. You may book a wade trip for yourself and up to two of your friends.
Float trips are permitted on the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers. You will be floating in either a McKenzie style drift boat, or a raft with a frame. These craft will accommodate 1 or 2 anglers accompanied by one of our staff. Our float guides are long time local anglers that have decades of experience behind the oars. These pros will put you on the fish in safety and style, with one eye on your flies and another on the river. On your trip you will encounter both fast and slow water with a few rapids. The amount of whitewater you encounter will depend on which river section you float. The flies and tactics you employ will change from day to day, and sometimes hour to hour. Rely on your guide, he is on the river every day. You may choose a full day, 3/4 day or a half-day trip.
